Benefits of Direct Primary Care 

The DPC model provides patients with increased access to their primary care physicians, and provides for longer appointment times, same-day or next-day appointments, and the ability to communicate with doctors quickly and efficiently.

DPC is convenient for the patient in many ways. You are able to text/email your doctor any time, including times when you may be out of town. Many minor concerns or illness can often be addressed without the inconvenience of coming in to the office. 

Under the traditional model, insurance companies won't pay for an office visit unless you are ill (with the exception of your once yearly physical exam). Under the DPC model, we encourage patients to come in as often as they would like for wellness visits and consultations. This includes things like discussing ways to reduce stress and inflammation; ways to optimize sleep or physical performance, or even to discuss weight loss (all things insurance doesn't cover). 

Direct Primary Care often offers a transparent and affordable payment structure. Instead of relying on insurance for every visit, patients pay a flat rate membership fee, which covers a wide range of services. This can be more cost-effective, especially for those without comprehensive insurance coverage or high deductibles.

Under the traditional insurance model, patients often become frustrated with difficulty reaching their provider, waiting weeks/months to be seen, and then getting rushed through their appointment. DPC eliminates all of those issues and provides for efficient, hassle free care. 

Under the traditional model, the insurance companies have a lot of say in your care. DPC completely eliminates third-party insurers from the primary health care equation, meaning you are your health care provider are in charge of your primary care.
